Well-being is a state of being well. It is about vitality in the body, resilience in the energy and empowerment in the mind. It is not one thing, it is all things. Without one of these elements, the other elements become more strained.
Globally there has been a migration towards well-being as an interest and a way of life. The concept is powerful when you know how to use it for yourself. Every person is an individual and so a one size fits all approach is not going to be as effective for everyone. However, Human Design offers individual insight into how this can work for you, in a highly personalised and aligned way. Here are some ways your Human Design influences your well-being.
Type
Your Human Design type is how you are designed to operate in the world. If you perform to a different operating system expectation, you will end up depleting your energy and vitality. Working against your Human Design strategy, based on your type, is the fastest way to burn out. Imagine being a Projector with no motor centres trying to do all the things a Generator with a defined sacral centre does. The Projector is designed for efficiency over consistent doing. Understanding how your energy is designed to be used means that you get to take care of your body and your vitality.
Authority
In a world full of choices, shoulds and obligations, it can be more difficult than ever to choose what is right for you. So much anxiety starts with overwhelm. The best way to move from overwhelm to clarity is to lean on your authority. This is your aligned decision-making GPS. When you know how to connect with your Human Design authority, you will discern which decisions are right for you. Building trust is essential because some of those decisions may be completely illogical. The more you trust this process and collect evidence that it works for you, the more you will disconnect from overwhelm and anxiety.
Root Centre
This is one of 2 pressure centres in the body. If you have this defined, you are more capable of dealing with pressure to get things done or to be busy. Sometimes this turns into a hobbit which is not aligned and uses energy in your body in a disempowered way. If you have this centre undefined, you are more likely to feel pressure from the outside world which can feel uncomfortable too. If you give in to this pressure, you are using energy you don’t have access to. In both cases, this could lead to burnout as this centre is directly connected to your adrenals. The more you understand how you are designed to work with this pressure and lean into your strategy & authority, the more vitality and less stress you experience.
Head Centre
The head centre is also a pressure centre which adds pressure focused on finding the right answer. The more you feel this pressure to figure out the right answer, the more your body experiences anxiety. If your head centre is defined, notice if it feels empowered to be in the energy of inspiration and logic. If your head centre is undefined, notice the pressure to figure things out. The key in both instances is to notice when you feel anxiety or overwhelm, it’s time to move the energy.
Human Design is a whole universe in itself. The previous points showcase some of the aspects to be aware of when it comes to well-being and of course, there are so many more to explore too. The key to understanding your well-being lies in understanding AND embodying your own Human Design chart with all of the gifts it holds for you.
